William W. Cook, COO and General Counsel. Mr. Cook is a corporate attorney and entrepreneur with proven skills in starting and building technology companies. He co-founded FamilyWonder, Inc., the leading source of family entertainment guidance and sales on the Internet, which grew from three people working out of an apartment to over 100 employees with over $41 million in venture capital financing. Before that, Bill served as General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Valley Media, Inc., an $800 million distributor of entertainment products based in Woodland, California, where he helped the company complete its successful initial public offering (“IPO”), lead managed by J.P. Morgan. Mr. Cook began his career as a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York, and then moved to Hearst New Media, where he worked in business development and as a producer of on-line and multimedia content. He most recently served as a legal and business consultant to companies in the telecommunications and technology industries. Mr. Cook holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology, cum laude, from Colorado College, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.
